With 2019 coming to an end, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) policy rule changes around health care delivery and payment structures are approaching, set to take effect in January 2020. These new regulations, centered on the home health segment, seek to drive care to the home in order to improve cost and outcomes for challenging populations.

Discussions will cover best practices related to delivery of care in the home and benefit offerings for 2021 Medicare Advantage. Speakers will also hold a Q&A session following the webinar. Trained as an internist at UCSF, Dr. Karen Johnston is currently Medical Director at CareCentrix. She started her career as a partner in a 50-physician multi-specialty group practice. She subsequently shifted to positions as medical director and chief medical officer at cardiovascular prevention programs ranging from academic to commercial to venture-capital backed startups. Most recently, she co-founded a self-funded start-up, eMedBracelet, an electronic personal health record.

Previously, Melissa was an actuarial analyst at United Healthcare.
