about

With 2019 coming to an end, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) policy rule changes around health care delivery and payment structures are approaching, set to take effect in January 2020. These new regulations, centered on the home health segment, seek to drive care to the home in order to improve cost and outcomes for challenging populations.

Discussions will cover best practices related to delivery of care in the home and benefit offerings for 2021 Medicare Advantage. Speakers will also hold a Q&A session following the webinar. Registrants will have the opportunity to hear insights and recommendations from panelists on several topics related to this issue.

Attendees will learn:

  • Coverage being offered for a wider array of supplemental benefits – changes for 2020 and beyond
  • The PDGM payment model and how will it impact home health more broadly
  • The Trump administration’s executive orders and encouraging in-home dialysis treatments instead of outpatient centers
  • The 2021 testing of hospice carve-in for Medicare Advantage plans, using value-based insurance design models (VBIDs)
  • The impact of the permanent home infusion therapy benefit to be implemented in 2021, as required by the 21st Century Cures Act
  • New CPT codes for reimbursement of remote patient monitoring and how to implement these
